Eid ul-Adha brings back memories & history of our Prophet Ibrahim A.S whom sacrifice for his son prophet Ismail A.S. to GOD ; ALLAH s.w.t. who test the patient and how deep is his love to ALLAH. Our Prophet Ibrahim is very poor. Due to his sincererity & obedient to ALLAH and he agreed to sacrifice his son. Finally ALLAH has instructed to change a "KIBASH" - another kind of sheep for his son. After he slaved the "KIBASH", our prophet Ibrahim has been instructed by ALLAH to give the meat to all Muslims priority to poor peoples, oldies, single parents, orphans & then others e.g. neighbours etc. It shows that ALLAH is so Great, Lovingly, Fair & Justice. HIS love to everyone who really love HIM too whenever & whatever we do must remember of "HIM". ALLAH gives everything to us for good things and when we're in bad situation, we must also remind that everything comes from HIM to test us to be more patient & upgrade in our life. He gives more good thing to us if we patient on whatever we undertake. BELIEVE IT!!

That's why all Muslims together in this Eid Ul-Adha festival to fulfil our 5th of "RUKUN ISLAM" - terms & condition to complete ourselves as MUSLIM & remember the history of our Prophet Ismail cried for milk but his mother didn't have breast milk to feed. So, she ran on the desert from Mt. Safa to Mt. Marwah for about 14 times to find a water for his son. ALLAH s.w.t is so great & alwaz help people in difficulties, so, she prayed to ALLAH s.w.t. for help. ALLAH s.w.t. convey HIS messenger to instruct her whenever she pushed her toe on the desert wt ALLAH'S permission, the water run out from the desert just like a fountain & she finally able to feed her son; Prophet Ismail for drink. As such, nowadays, we see the pilgrim run fr Mt. Safa to Mt Marwah for 14 times to remember the abv history and also to fulfil as one of Haj conditions.

Until now, we've seen a lot of MUSLIMS who is not going to HAJ at Mecca will be gathered at home and whoever has extra money can buy a LAMB or COW to sacrifice on behalf of their family. Then, the meat to be distributed to all Muslims especially poor family, oldies, single parent, orphanage etc.. How nice if rich people always help poor people or people in difficulties. So that it can reduce/lessen the burden for every people who is in difficulties. This is the ritual which is very healthy for every people in this world not even "MUSLIMS". Besides, our religious in ISLAM also encourage people to pay "ZAKAT" e.g. taxes for businesses, individuals & asset or properties depend on the amount / qty to help our people in difficulties. All father must responsible to his children(s) by paying the "ZAKAT" - individual tax every year starting from 1st Ramadhan until 1st Syawal (ISLAM calender) before noon. There's some other story related to Eid Ul-Adha beside the abv mentioned.

ISLAM is Justice & Truth for life. Bring Our Life for Healthy Living & Peacefully.

hmmmm...food for thought! I really haven't visited your blog in quite some time! Anyway...i've heard these things before. Not sure what I think about it all though. I'm thinking that CCM has its place...in some people's lives only for periods of time. And it's hard to make a generalization...it's a tough question, but some good thoughts!

This is encouraging. We have some pretty rough days now and then when it is hard to keep perspective. I think of you often. AG

Excellent thoughts, Robin. I've had some of the same. It's hard to define sometimes but you've done a pretty good job at defining some of the questions concerning CCM.
